Performance Double Bill

Folk Horror Stories – Daniel Morden

Award-winning author and storyteller Daniel Morden treated us to the tales he doesn’t usually dare to share…

Folk Horror is having a moment. Contemporary authors and film makers are drawing on the traditional tales and customs of our ancestors to reveal another, more precarious relationship with our environment, in which we are no longer in charge…

The night was filled with shapeshifters, foolhardy pacts and unquiet graves. Perfect for a November evening in a 14th century chapel. There was even a burst of maniacal laughter from the darkness outside!

”Gruesome, hypnotic and fantastical” – THE TIMES

What the audience thought…

‘Heard Daniel before, knew he’d be great and he was!’

‘What an evening. Wouldn’t change a thing.’

‘Big fans of Suited Storytellers. I loved it.’

’I wanted to try something different. Amazing.’

With support from Suited Storytellers

SUITCASE organisers Suited Storytellers gave the first performance of their new show ‘HERD’ as part of the double bill!

Katy and Ros brought their distinctive style and sharp suits to a triptych of tales from the places where a horse can mean the difference between life and death.

HERD’ was specially developed for SUITCASE with the support of Arts Council England. To see more about this brand new piece visit the show page on this website.
